Sevelamer max dose

I was wondering whether other areas have addressed the maximum dose of Renagel...the product monograph, which refers to the scant clinical trial data available, states that the maximum dose is 5 x 800 mg tabs TID. We have a nephrolgist & dietician that are advocating doses 2 and 3 times this....
