Renagel and MI????

In the last couple of months we have been switching more people to Renagel after getting Section 8 approval. However, be it coincident or not, three of our patients presented to EMR with an acute MI within 2-3 weeks of being switched to Renagel. Has anyone else seen any trend towards this?? I know that it is not supposed to be systemically absorbed. Could it be binding to their heart protective medications??? Drug interaction studies are very limited.
