Mupirocin and Nasal Decolonization

With the controversy surrounding whether to routinely swab and decolonize HD pts:
Canadian Society of Nephrology
Hemodialysis Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Canadian Society of Nephrology. J Am Soc Nephrol 17: S1, 2006.
Routine monitoring for staphylococcal nasal carrier status and its management remains controversial. Although some studies have shown reduction in S. aureus bacteremia in hemodialysis patients with nasal mupirocin ointment, development of antimicrobial resistance remains an important concern.
Does any center not routinely swab and treat MSSA/MRSA positive pts (I would like to stop)?
