flu shot

I don't work in a transplant centre but we do see post-transplant patients in the clinic. I had an interesting question in which I can't find a definitive answer ... We have a post-transplant patient with lupus who is currently on mycophenolate. He is wanting to receive the flu shot this year. The only information I could find was that it was a precaution in using live, attenuated vaccines with mycophenolate, but nothing else. Any practical experience with this situation?
