Hi to all. My question today concerns sodium citrate. Does anyone use sod citrate instead of TPA for the perm cath when they go home in patients who cant use heparin?. We know that Baxter has sod citrate in bags but we want to draw up sod cit syringes for the RNs to use instead of the TPA syringes that we draw up now. (cost, the determining factor) If any one does this we would love ideas on stability, fridge?freezer? etc.
Thanx to all
Maryann
